FAQ
What is a toilet auger?
A toilet auger is a plumbing tool with a flexible cable and turning crank used to remove clogs from the toilet trap and drain without damaging the porcelain.
How does a toilet auger work?
You feed the cable into the toilet drain and turn the steel crank; the rotating cable tip breaks up or hooks the blockage so it can be pulled out.
What size toilet auger do I need?
D01-005A with a 3 ft cable handles clogs close to the bowl; D01-005B with a 6 ft cable reaches deeper blockages. Both clear 2 to 4 inch pipes.
Can I get a toilet auger with my own brand?
Yes. THAIMAKE offers OEM/ODM branding, colors and packaging for wholesale toilet auger orders.
How to Use a Toilet Auger
- Step 1 — seat the sleeve. Guide the protective sleeve into the bowl and into the drain opening; the sleeve keeps the steel cable off the porcelain.
- Step 2 — feed and crank. Push the cable down and turn the steel crank clockwise, letting the rotating tip work into the blockage.
- Step 3 — hook and pull. When the tip bites, keep turning gently and draw the cable back — the auger hooks or breaks up the clog so it can be flushed away.
- Step 4 — flush and repeat. Flush to test; if water still backs up, feed the longer cable further down the trap.
Toilet Auger, Plunger or Drain Machine?
Each tool has a job. A plunger shifts water to displace a soft clog but cannot reach past the trap; a toilet auger reaches the trap and the start of the drain, which is where most toilet clogs sit; a drain machine is for blockages further down the line or in larger pipes. For a typical toilet clog the auger is the tool that works when the plunger does not — and it is what a plumber reaches for before pulling the toilet.
Built and Packed in Chonburi
The D01-005 is manufactured and packed at THAIMAKE’s own plant in Phan Thong, Chonburi, Thailand, and supplied wholesale with OEM/ODM branding for distributors, hardware chains and e-commerce sellers. Every unit ships in a protective bag, ready for export.
Will a toilet auger scratch the toilet?
Not the D01-005 – the cable runs inside a protective sleeve that keeps the steel off the porcelain.
Can a toilet auger clear a floor drain or sink?
It is designed for toilets, but the 6 ft cable can reach some nearby branch lines. For sinks, tubs and floor drains use a hand spinner from the manual tools range.
What is the difference between the 3 ft and 6 ft model?
Both clear 2-4 in. pipes. D01-005A (3 ft) handles clogs close to the bowl; D01-005B (6 ft) reaches deeper blockages in the trap and drain.
