Drain Cleaning Cables & Springs

THAIMAKE manufactures drain cleaning cables, auger cables and flexible shafts for every machine in our range — and for most major brands. Heat-treated spring steel, kink-resistant cores and replaceable cutter heads keep your fleet running and your customers coming back for consumables.

Featured Cable Assemblies

Every assembly below is stocked as a service part, not just a factory fitment. Cable length is optional — tell us the length, diameter and connector you need.

Handle for 16 mm drain cleaning sectional cable

Handle for Ø16 mm Cable

Turning handle for Ø16 mm sectional cable — the standard grip for running sectional machines by hand.

Item number: SP-01

16 mm sectional drain cleaning cable with connector

Ø16 mm Sectional Cable with Connector

Sectional cable for Ø16 mm systems. Sections join with connectors and extend at 2.5 m or 5 m per section, so you build exactly the length the job needs.

Item number: SP-03

6 mm (1/4 in) flexible hollow core cable with auger

Ø6 mm (1/4 in) Hollow Cable with Auger

Flexible hollow core cable supplied with auger head — for small kitchen, lavatory and restroom lines.

Item number: SP-06

8 mm (5/16 in) flexible hollow core cable with auger

Ø8 mm (5/16 in) Hollow Cable with Auger

The size fitted to our D01-010A hand spinner: Ø5/16 in. hollow core with auger, built to resist kinking around tight bends.

Item number: SP-07

13 mm (1/2 in) wire core drain cleaning cable with connector

Ø13 mm (1/2 in) Wire Core Cable with Connector

Wire core resists breakage, tangling and kinking — the standard drum-machine size for 2 in. to 4 in. lines.

Item number: SP-10

Item pictures are for illustration only. Cable length is optional.

Drain Cleaning Cables by Machine

Match cable diameter to pipe size, then match length to the run. Oversizing the cable is the most common cause of kinking inside a bend.

Cutter Heads

Four cutter profiles cover almost every blockage. All THAIMAKE cutters fit our standard cable couplings.

  • Boring bulb — starting head; opens a pilot channel through soft sludge
  • Spade / saw tooth — scraping hardened grease and scale
  • C-cutter — cutting roots and solid obstructions
  • Arrow / drop head — retrieving, and following bends without catching

Springs, Couplings & Replacement Parts

  • Flexible shafts (hollow core) for hand spinners and manual machines
  • Connecting springs and quick-change couplings
  • Replacement motors, switches and foot pedals
  • Drums, belts and drive components

Every cable and cutter is stocked as a service part, so your customers can buy replacements years after the machine ships.

Compatibility & OEM/ODM

Our cables and cutters are built to fit the common coupling standards used on drum and sectional machines, so they drop into most professional equipment. For distributors we supply private-label cable assemblies with your length, diameter, packaging and brand — including mixed containers that combine machines with cables, cutters and nozzles.

Cable Types Explained

Three cable constructions cover the range, and picking the right one is the difference between a cable that lasts and one that kinks:

  • Hollow-core (flexible shaft) — a coiled steel spring with a hollow centre, used on hand spinners and light manual machines. It is the most flexible option and follows tight fixture bends.
  • Wire-core — a wire core inside the coil adds stiffness and torque capacity, so it resists breakage, tangling and kinking: the right choice for drum machines on 2–4 in. lines.
  • Sectional — short cable sections joined by quick-change couplings, extended 2.5 m or 5 m at a time. You build the length the job needs and replace a single damaged section instead of the whole cable.

Choosing the Right Cable

  • Match the diameter to the pipe. A cable that is too large will not track the bend and kinks; one too small will not carry the torque to the blockage.
  • Match the length to the run. Add cable for the bends — a run needs more length than its straight-line distance.
  • Match the head to the blockage. Boring bulb for soft sludge, spade for grease and scale, C-cutter for roots, arrow for retrieving.

Cables & Springs FAQ

Do your cables fit other brands of machine?
They are built to the common coupling standards used on drum and sectional machines, so they drop into most professional equipment. Tell us your machine model and we will confirm the fit.

Can I order cable in a custom length?
Yes. Cable length is optional — specify the length, diameter and connector you need and we build to it.

Do you supply cutters and couplings separately?
Yes. Cutter heads, couplings and springs are all stocked as service parts, so your customers can reorder consumables after the machine sale.

Can I get cables under my own brand?
Yes. For distributors we supply private-label cable assemblies with your length, diameter, packaging and brand.
